A monumental 51 foot sculpture weighing three tons, and the tallest cast bronze sculpture in the West. I completed the sculpture in 2005. Years later I decided to cast a limited edition of the maquette which is identical, except in size, to the sculpture installed in Bellevue, WA. A commission by Kemper Freeman Jr. It sits at NE 8th and Bellevue Way in front of Bellevue Place/Hyatt Regency Bellevue. I created this sculpture to represent a mirror of human relations. A symbol of trust and courage as one figure daringly holds the other up into the sky declaring its space with elegance. I wanted to create a piece to reflect a strong community where people who live here can work hard and enjoy the good life. Introducing sculpture to retail architecture reflects the humanity behind commerce. I have always felt that sculpture should help preserve the integrity, stability and beauty of a community. It is my hope that Endless Celebration will continue to communicate romanticism and joy to all of the people who live in or visit Bellevue.
