BRONZE 17” x 9” x 11” | Edition of 25
Music is an international language. What I love to do is watch a musician play his or her instrument. I love to observe the language of their body, the gestural concept of what energy goes into making the music. When I was a child, my parents had a friend who played the fiddle. The rhythm and the emotions he evoked while playing was so exciting to me as a child. Such joy and spontaneity. It is difficult to describe in words and I felt this was a perfect subject to capture with clay, then cast to bronze.
