What is the fate of our passion when we fall in love with someone. As humans we desire “Romantic love,”characterized by intensity and affection. But we also crave passion which, by its own nature has a life span that can only be maintained by an obsessive pattern. But when we can manage to love someone with equal amounts of romance, passion and friendship we can establish a relationship that is lasting. The sculpture is an ode to the ingredients and the balance of these separate types of love. When we find ourselves giving and taking in just the right amounts we notice one of us is always afloat while the other is grounded. True love is always a balance.
