This Shipping Policy explains how products purchased directly from Gesso Cocteau are delivered. Delivery terms differ by product type because an ePub, a printed book, and a limited-edition bronze require different handling.
ePubs and digital books
ePubs are digital products and have no shipping charge. The download link is delivered by email after purchase. Download availability and any access limits are shown on the product page or in the delivery email. If the email does not arrive, check the spam or promotions folder and contact us at gessococteau@gmail.com.
Printed books
Printed-book orders are normally prepared within 1–2 business days, excluding weekends and holidays. Current checkout rates are:
- Contiguous United States: Standard shipping, 3–4 business days, $5.00.
- Alaska and Hawaii: Express shipping, 1–2 business days, $9.95.
Delivery estimates begin after processing and are not guarantees. Printed books purchased directly through this website currently ship within the United States. Regional availability through Amazon or other booksellers may differ.
Tabletop bronze sculpture
Tabletop bronzes require careful packing, crating, handling, and insurance. For domestic sculpture orders from $1.00 through $12,000.00, the current checkout charge for shipping, crating, and handling is $750.00. We will contact the purchaser to confirm availability, preparation time, destination, and delivery details before shipment.
Mid-size and life-size bronze sculpture
Mid-size and life-size works require professional crating and freight coordination. For domestic sculpture orders from $12,001.00 through $50,000.00, the current checkout charge for shipping, crating, and handling is $1,500.00. Delivery timing depends on inventory, foundry status, crating, carrier scheduling, destination access, and installation requirements. We will contact the purchaser before shipment to confirm these details. Orders above $50,000.00 or requiring unusual access, rigging, installation, or special handling require a separate written quote.
International sculpture delivery
International rates may be calculated at checkout for eligible destinations, but large or complex sculpture shipments remain subject to confirmation. The purchaser is responsible for customs duties, import taxes, brokerage charges, permits, and destination-specific fees unless a written agreement says otherwise.
Custom and commissioned work
Shipping, crating, handling, insurance, delivery, rigging, and installation for custom or commissioned work are quoted in the written commission agreement. Timelines begin only after the scope, payment schedule, and delivery requirements are confirmed.
Tracking, delivery, and damage
Tracking or freight information is provided when available. Please provide a complete and accurate delivery address. Additional carrier charges caused by an incorrect address, refused delivery, missed appointment, storage, redelivery, limited access, or unreported installation requirement may be charged to the purchaser.
Inspect physical deliveries promptly. If a package or crate appears damaged, note the damage with the carrier when possible, retain all packing materials, take photographs, and contact us within 5 calendar days at gessococteau@gmail.com or 760-702-5049.
